Adam & Tiffany – January 2014

After meeting in law school, Adam and Tiffany had their first date at a coffee shop.  They have been together ever since.  Adam surprised Tiffany for their engagement last Mother’s Day when she flew out to visit her folks in the Midwest at their beautiful lakefront home.  Adam coordinated with her parents and secretly flew out on her last day there.  He arrived just as the sun was setting over the water.  Her mom sent her to the backyard to get something and there was Adam waiting.  It took her five minutes to even realize she had said yes!

The reception was held at the Harborside Ballroom on a beautiful Newport Beach winter evening in January.  Rich Prugh Photography’s pictures speak for themselves.

Magnien-Olmstead Wedding

They met in highschool and waited a good 11 years to make it official. But when schoolteachers Kristine and Don finally tied the knot, they did it in splendidly sunny style. Looking for a place that had that comfy SoCal feel but great indoor space, they booked Harborside at the Balboa Pavilion, in Newport Beach, and put together a coral-and-teal-themed day that looked as breezy as the beachy backdrop.

Photographer Mike Arick took the couple and their party to Newport Back Bay for a photo session; Kristine calls it “one of the prettiest backdrops in California!” (Check out the evidence for yourself.) And Harborside provided the ideal spot where they could “eat, drink, and get married!,” says Kristine. “We liked having everything in one place…Makes things easier for guests.” We couldn’t agree more.

105th Galvanizers Association Dinner

Harborside Grand Ballroom hosted 250 members of the Galvanizers Association. The evening started with a nautical cocktail party at ExplorOcean – Balboa’s own marine museum, where the guests from around the world strolled through the exhibits while enjoying grilled shrimp, bacon-wrapped scallops and many other tasty appetizers

The guests then had a short stroll down the boardwalk to the Harborside Grand Ballroom for a sumptuous five-course meal.

Special thanks to Heather at Signature Party Rentals, Nikki at Lifetime Weddings and Tamsen Photography for all the fun photos!

Best Wishes to the Galvanizers for a successful 2014 Annual Convention and Dinner to be held in Jackson, Mississippi!

Another Special Couple…Brendan & Jana’ee

From the moment we met Jana’ee and Brendan we knew their day would be spectacular.  Christine Bentley Photography captured every element to perfection; from the I Do’s at Our Lady Queen of Angels church in Newport Beach to the Grand Exit from 400 Main Street (below!).  Luscious pink and cream florals by Flowers, Etc., the exquisite Merengue Bakery cake, and Jordan Music Entertainment added to the magical air of the evening.  Heather Hoesch of LVL Events was on hand and was her usual amazing self, seeing to every last detail.  A special couple and a special event we will long remember!
